One Week

So today is one week until I'll be in the United States, insane. I'm busy almost everyday this week catching up with old friends and getting to know some new ones. I'm kind of realizing now what I'll be missing from Brazil, and how it'll be different hanging out with my American friends. It's nothing bad, not at all, just it's so much different how we do things in America versus Brazil.

Yesterday was so busy, but also a lot of fun. My friend Cadu from Joinville visited me for the weekend and we went out with some of my friends and his. I showed him around my city and met up with some of my friends for coffee in a really cute cafe we have in town (pictured). After the coffee we went to Blumenau, the city next to mine. We grabbed some sushi and Burger King in the food court while waiting for my other friends to show up. Sadly, a lot of people had to cancel because of family functions but it was a really good group of people. Bruna, Vanessa, Cadu, and I all walked around the central for a while and went bowling. It was so much fun and we all got to know each other so well!

On Friday I met a girl at a family dinner who lives in Gaspar, another town nearby. Her and I got to be really close and are going to get coffee later today.

I go home so soon and I feel like I'm ready. It's been an interesting exchange to say the least but I really am walking out of it just how I've always wanted to. I'm grateful for all of the great people I've met, the traveling, the families. Even though I had the hardest 5 months of my life here in Brazil, I am so grateful for the lessons I've learned from them and that I was able to bounce back from where I was and am able to enjoy myself and feel like I have a place here in Brazil.

The only worry I really have at this point is how I'm supposed to pack...

Me and my the first friends I made here in Brazil, Eduarda and Fabiano.
