Weekend Event March 29-31

Over the past weekend I've done a good amount of things to keep me busy. I started off Friday by staying home from school to get some things I needed to go on the Amazon trip I have coming up on the 12th. After my host father and I finished that we ate a churrasco with my family and my host fathers parents. They are very sweet people and I liked then a lot. At around 3pm we all headed to the state capital- Florianopolis.

We went to Florianopolis to visit my host fathers aunts and the entire family that he has living there. It always eventful at that house. I went last year in December with them and their old exchange student, something was always happening.

The night we arrived I went to a show with the nephew and his girlfriend. The nephew was performing with a very popular singer from the are, it went so well! The venue was really nice, almost like Hard Rock, and the music was great. I'm happy I got to go, and to go for free at that!

The rest of the weekend was full of eating, talking, and more eating. It's Brazil! That's one thing about Brazilians I will never understand. How can they eat so much and all of them stay skinny? Why can't I be like that? All of the family was very sweet and caring of me and took their time with me if I didn't understand a word or two.

I really enjoy the family aspect that this new host family brings along with it. They are so sweet and close with each other. It's always love in the house and they help me fit into it.

I started to redecorate my blazer on Sunday to organize it more and try to make it more special for me with what it has from my exchange.
